Zack hugged the blanket, whispered “Ship ahoy!”

Clouds became oceans, the bed turned toy.

Eight cosmonauts in a starry canoe,

Counting down comets—“Nine… eight… two!”

Moon-milk mustaches, zero-gravity spread,

Till only Zack’s left; he tips his night-cap head,

I trace the constellation of every scar,
